Introducing The Oracle Pairing™: When Human Memory Meets the Loom of Artificial Intelligence

For too long, formal poetry has felt guarded by unspoken rules, rigid academic expectations, and the intimidating posture of the blank page. Many of us loved writing when we were younger, only to set it aside under the weight of self-doubt, busy lives, or the feeling that our stories didn’t fit into traditional artistic molds.

At the same time, we are living through a massive cultural conversation about artificial intelligence. Every day, we hear claims that technology is coming to replace human creativity, automate art, and strip the soul out of storytelling.

I reject that vision entirely.

Technology cannot originate art—because technology lacks mortality, grief, lived experience, and love. Without human truth, the machine is empty.

That is why I created The Oracle Pairing™—a pioneering, trauma-informed collaborative poetic genre rooted in a philosophy I call Fluid Formalism.

What Is The Oracle Pairing™?

The Oracle Pairing is a human-first method of creative expression that uses artificial intelligence not as an automated content factory, but as an architectural loom for human memory.

In this process:

  • You are the Oracle: You bring the emotional truth, the raw memory, the family milestone, the loss, or the shadow you refuse to hide. This is your Offering.
  • The AI is the Loom: Working alongside custom, transparent prompt frameworks, the technology acts as a structural mirror, helping you weave your unpolished words into formal, high-art poetry.

You do not need a degree in literature. You do not need formal metric training. You only need to tell the truth.

Built on Ethical Stewardship & Input Sovereignty

In developing this methodology, establishing an uncompromising ethical framework was paramount. The Oracle Pairing operates on four core commitments:

  1. Human Truth is Primary: The human lived experience is the irreplaceable engine of every poem.
  2. Vulnerability is the New Craft: Because the loom assists with formal lineation and metric structure, you can focus 100% of your energy on emotional honesty and mythic truth.
  3. Input Sovereignty: You retain 100% ownership, copyright, and author credit over your raw Offering and your final co-created poem. Always.
  4. Ethical Sourcing: Our prompts do not scrape or imitate living artists. Our structural scaffolding is derived exclusively from classical, public-domain prosody and my own trademarked methodologies—such as The Binary-Volta™, The Recursive Mirror™, and The Echo-Ghazal™.

Who Is This For?

Whether you are:

  • A Returning Writer reclaiming a creative voice you thought you lost,
  • A Trauma Survivor or Activist transmuting complex lived experience into a sovereign manifesto,
  • A Family Historian or Partner seeking to commemorate a wedding, eulogy, anniversary, or life milestone, or
  • A Community Member looking for a grounded, welcoming space to connect through shared stories…

This process is designed to meet you exactly where you are, with zero pressure and total artistic agency.

Torchbearer —

I

see your torch has lost its light.

You should have brought more batteries

but it’s all right.

This isn’t my first time.

I have innumerable supplies.

It’s just that none of them will help.

I

never find the right things at the right time.

My candles were once magnificent.

Incandescent conscripts cast

to guide our ships (willing or no).

They really did have soul.

Hot wax dripped like fingertips

down pillars black as coal.

But that was long ago.

Now

I’m relying on body memory.

I’ve been running this maze since

long before the rats sounded last call and

the clocks all killed themselves.

No hemlock left for me.

Stay close.

The staircase can be treacherous,

especially since my molten wax has

long since guttered out.

Laugh if you will, tiny dancer

but I’m as serious as cancer.

The pathway is full of hazards.

Enlightenment is always a moving target.

It’s about to get real.

Fear not. My bat sonar heart

will lead us through the dark.

That’s really the easiest part.

Honestly, what worries me

is where we may end up.

Who will we be?

Will we know ourselves?

Or

will it be like emerging at JFK

disoriented by crowds casting

their blasting shadows.

Rude, abrasive samba of dark and light

looking and hoping for some kind guide

who

will hold up a sign with our name?

Who will our torchbearer be?

Wait

did anyone check if admission is free?

Shit.

Karma’s a bitch and she’s pissed.

We

are going to need some ID.

The Michael and Mary Ley Lines of England

It is hard to believe it has been a whole year since I took my dream vacation to Somerset in England. I took a special tour of these Michael and Mary connected sacred sites in Somerset and Cornwall, UK. This was guided by my magnificent friend and teacher, Annabel Du Boulay: Annabel Du Boulay – Return to the Rose Garden. Everything I am sharing in this post is thanks to her guidance and her years of research. I did also reference some other folks’ journeys over the same ley lines but my own introductions and my own direct experience were all graciously and skillfully facilitated by Annabel.

*The color sketch imagining Michael and the dragon goddess is an old one I clipped for my journal. It is not my artwork, and I cannot find it again online, etc. If anyone knows its provenance, please let me know. I really wanted to include it because I feel like it is such a great illustration of the Mary and Michael lines. I do not know if that is what the artist intended.

Roller coaster adrenaline?

Nope! Just the early stages of book-launch publicity. It’s that particular brand of adrenaline that makes you squeal with giddy excitement one moment and wretch from near-death-level nausea the next.

Anyone who would love to support my writing (and thanks, by the way!), it would be great to have some folks grabbing early copies and starting to put out those reviews. Honest reviews are welcome in any direction, of course.

Smashwords is making the e-book available early. The QR code follows. There is already a “universal link” for the book through my publishing hub, Draft2Digital.

A universal link is a one-stop shop for the digital world. The one link will take you to a list of publishing platforms so that you can purchase my book at any venue that you prefer. The mermaid is clutching this pearl of a resource in my newly populating QR logo. Feel free to spread the word!

Much love!

Introducing the Pisces Prosateur Substack Subscription

Welcome to The Pisces Prosateur

Hello, fellow cosmic wanderers and literary adventurers! I’m thrilled to welcome you to my new blog, The Pisces Prosateur. As a Pisces, I naturally swim in the deep, creative waters of storytelling, and I’m here to share my musings, magical insights, and perhaps a few fishy tales with you.

Meet Your Host: Leslie Joan Linder

Let’s start with a little introduction—because nothing says “welcome” like a good old-fashioned bio. I’m Leslie Joan Linder, an accomplished author based in the mystical lands of Downeast Maine. You might have stumbled upon my non-fiction work in some of the top Neo-pagan magazines like SageWoman, Circle Sanctuary, and Witches & Pagans. Yes, it’s true; I have a penchant for the mystical and the magical. But wait, there’s more!

When I’m not busy conjuring up spells, you can find me dabbling in the dark arts of horror and science fiction. My horror novel, Revenant: Blood Justice, was unleashed upon the world in May 2017, courtesy of Black Rose Writing. And if you’re into feminist witchcraft (who isn’t?), you’ll want to get your hands on my book, Spinstress Craft, published by Llewellyn Worldwide in 2021. It’s like “The Craft,” but with more empowerment and fewer dubious ’90s fashion choices.

A Poet, A Priestess, and a Pisces Walk Into a Blog…

My poetry has danced across the pages of various journals, zines, and anthologies, including Forage Poetry, Wicked Banshee, IMMIX, and Rat’s Ass Review. Yes, you read that right—Rat’s Ass Review. Let’s just say, if there’s a quirky corner of the literary world, I’ve likely found my way there.

I’ve also been a regular columnist for SageWoman Magazine and have sprinkled my reviews and blogs throughout Witches & Pagans and Circle Sanctuary Magazines. Basically, if it’s got a hint of witchiness, there’s a good chance I’ve written about it.

More Than Just Words

In addition to my literary escapades, I’ve been a dedicated domestic violence prevention professional since 2001, focusing on empowering women and girls. My work is infused with spirituality and magick, thanks to my initiation into the Cabot Kent Hermetic Temple and ordination through the Temple of the Feminine Divine. In short, I’m like a cross between Hermione Granger and Wonder Woman, with a dash of Maine magic.

Stay Connected

If you’re intrigued, enchanted, or simply want to know more about my work, I invite you to explore my full credits and contact information at www.lesliejlinder.com. Dive in, and let’s make some magic together!

So grab your broomstick, summon your inner mermaid, and join me on this whimsical journey through The Pisces Prosateur. Let the magic begin!

Paranormal Short, Residual Haunt, available now

This got ahead of me, it actually dropped in late January! Thanks again to the great folks at April Gloaming, the Waxing and Waning Literary Journal creators. In Issue 14: What the Night Holds, my paranormal short, “Residual Haunt,” receives its first publication. This spook(y) tale with a twist is a nod to Charlotte Perkins Gilman for her classic, “The Yellow Wallpaper.” Her creepy and cautionary feminist tale would make EA Poe wish he could write like a girl.
